The December 2024 PS Plus Extra and Premium additions, including Forspoken and Sonic Frontiers, generated surprisingly positive initial feedback. However, this enthusiasm waned for some Forspoken players. Many abandoned the game after just a few hours, citing poor writing and unconvincing dialogue as major drawbacks. It seems unlikely that the PS Plus release will revitalize Forspoken's fortunes. The game's inconsistent quality remains a significant hurdle.
