Fortnite Adds Darth Jar Jar, Star Wars Battle Pass in Galactic Season
Fortnite is set to embark on an epic journey with its upcoming season, *Galactic Battle*, launching on May 2, 2025. This season promises to immerse players in a galaxy far, far away with a Star Wars-themed Battle Pass and an engaging five-part saga filled with thrilling surprises. The highlight of this season is the introduction of Darth Jar Jar to the Battle Royale mode, a twist that has fans buzzing with excitement.
The announcement was made during the Star Wars Celebration, where we also got a sneak peek at additional Star Wars content coming next month. One of the most anticipated additions is Force Lightning, which will be available as a new in-game ability, allowing players to harness the power of the dark side.

The Battle Pass will include iconic characters like Emperor Palpatine and unique mashups such as the Wookiee Cuddle Team Leader. The Item Shop will also see new additions, featuring Mace Windu. Players will have the opportunity to pilot and co-pilot X-Wings and TIE Fighters, and explore themed map locations, enhancing the immersive Star Wars experience.
The season's storyline will unfold over five weeks, each with a distinct theme:
- Imperial Takeover – May 2, 2025
- The Pull of the Force – May 8, 2025
- Mandalorian Rising – May 22, 2025
- Star Destroyer Bombardment – May 29, 2025
- Death Star Sabotage – June 7, 2025
This saga will culminate in a live in-game narrative event that promises to make players feel as though they hold the fate of the entire galaxy in their hands.
