Quick Links
When a Gaming Legends skin arrives in Fortnite, it's anyone's guess when it'll grace the Item Shop again. For some, like Kratos, it's been years, but for Master Chief, the wait is over. Master Chief, the iconic hero from the Halo series, was last seen in the game on June 3, 2022, before making a triumphant return on December 23, 2024. This comeback is nothing short of a Christmas miracle for fans.
Gamers can now suit up in Spartan armor and leap from the Battle Bus as Petty Officer John-117 to secure that coveted Victory Royale. But what exactly does the Master Chief Bundle in Fortnite include, and how much will it set you back in V-Bucks?

How to Get the Matte Black Master Chief in Fortnite
According to Epic Games' announcement on X (formerly Twitter) via the Fortnite Status account, the Matte Black style for the Master Chief outfit is still up for grabs. To unlock this sleek variant, you first need to purchase the Master Chief outfit, then play one match of Fortnite Battle Royale on an Xbox Series X|S. This will grant you access to the Matte Black Master Chief.
Despite earlier announcements suggesting that the Matte Black style would be unavailable for those buying the skin post-December 2024, this restriction has been lifted, giving everyone a fresh chance to add this stylish variant to their collection.
