"Goat Simulator Card Game Set for Release Later This Year"
Goat Simulator fans, prepare for a brand-new kind of chaos—Goat Simulator: The Card Game is on the way! It’s set to launch later this year and promises to bring the same wild, zany energy that fans have come to expect from the franchise—all in physical card game form.
The team behind this unexpected twist includes Coffee Stain North, the studio responsible for Goat Simulator, and MOOD Publishing, known for titles like Deep Rock Galactic: The Board Game and Valheim: The Board Game. Together, they’re bringing goat mayhem to your tabletop.
What Do We Know So Far?
Details are still under wraps, but what we do know is exciting. The game supports 2 to 6 players, all engaging in a high-stakes, goat-fueled battle of antics and strategy. If you’ve ever launched a goat into space or flung it across a virtual landscape in the digital version, just imagine how chaotic things can get with real cards in hand.
Goat Simulator: The Card Game will debut via Kickstarter later this year, giving fans a chance to be part of its journey from concept to reality.
Santiago Ferrero, Creative Director at Coffee Stain North, summed up the project perfectly: “Chaotic animal-based video games are so last year. That’s why we’ve partnered with MOOD Publishing to release a chaotic animal-based card game instead! You’ve seen goats on your screen; now it’s time to bring them to your table.”
From Joke to Legacy
Let’s not forget where it all began. Back in 2014, Goat Simulator started as an April Fool’s gag—but it quickly became a full-fledged gaming phenomenon. Since then, it has expanded far beyond its humble origins, landing on platforms ranging from PC and consoles to Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, and Apple Arcade.
Now, with Goat Simulator 3 continuing the legacy and this new card game joining the lineup, it’s clear that goat simulation has become a genre all its own.
