Google Play Set to Auto-Launch Apps
Google Play Store may soon introduce a game-changing feature: automatic app launch upon installation. This potential addition, uncovered through an APK teardown, could significantly streamline the app installation process.
The Auto-Launch Feature
According to Android Authority, the upcoming feature, tentatively named "App Auto Open," will automatically open newly downloaded apps. This eliminates the extra step of manually locating and opening the app icon.
Optional and User-Friendly
Importantly, this feature will be entirely optional. Users can choose to enable or disable auto-launch as per their preference. A notification banner will appear for approximately five seconds after an app download completes, ensuring users are aware of the new app. The notification may also include a sound or vibration alert.
Unconfirmed Release Date
While the information is based on an APK teardown of Play Store version 41.4.19 and isn't officially confirmed by Google, the potential for this feature is exciting. We will update you as soon as official information becomes available from Google.
