New Look at GTA Lead Designer's Techno Spy Thriller, MindsEye
Leslie Benzies, the mastermind behind Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption, unveils his latest creation, MindsEye, with a fresh look at the PlayStation State of Play.
The newly released MindsEye trailer showcases a high-octane spy thriller boasting striking similarities to Grand Theft Auto. Expect immersive third-person gunfights, breathtaking cinematic sequences, and thrilling drive-by shootings. Witness the action in the cinematic trailer below.
Official press materials reveal MindsEye follows Jacob Diaz, a protagonist equipped with a neural implant – the MindsEye – that has fragmented his memories, leaving him with disjointed flashbacks from his military service. His mission: uncover the truth about his past, a journey that pits him against an AI-powered military force.
MindsEye has been in development for several years. After departing Rockstar Games, Benzies established Build a Rocket Boy, collaborating with Hitman developer IO Interactive on this ambitious project. Described as a AAA action-adventure title, MindsEye will also integrate with the Everywhere platform, previously likened to a "big-budget Roblox" following a studio visit in 2024.
While the new trailer omits mention of Everywhere, MindsEye itself promises an exhilarating action experience from a leading figure in the gaming industry. Anticipate its release sometime in the summer of 2025.
