"Guide to Earning the 'I Caught a Shooting Star' Trophy in Monster Hunter Wilds"
In the vast world of *Monster Hunter Wilds*, where the thrill often lies in confronting the most formidable creatures, there's a unique challenge that requires you to focus on the smallest of them all. Earning the 'I Caught a Shooting Star!' trophy/achievement involves capturing a tiny, elusive creature known as the **Sandstar**. Here's your guide to unlocking this hidden gem.
How to Unlock the 'I Caught a Shooting Star!' Trophy/Achievement in Monster Hunter Wilds
The 'I Caught a Shooting Star!' achievement is both simple and elusive. It requires you to capture the **Sandstar**, a small desert mouse with a long tail and glimmering fur, found only at night in the **Windward Plains**. Since your adventures in this area typically occur during the day, you'll need to wait until nightfall to spot this creature.
To transition from day to night, you have two options:
- Fast Travel: Available early in the game once you unlock various fast travel points in the Windward Plains. Use your interactive map to fast travel between points until you reach nightfall.
- Rest: After completing Chapter 3 and unlocking high-rank content, you can rest at a base or pop-up camp. Use your Guild Points to rest and choose 'Nighttime' to set the time of day.
How to Catch the Sandstar in Monster Hunter Wilds
The Sandstar is not only small but also incredibly fast, making it challenging to catch even on your Seikret. To increase your chances, gather **Screamer Pods** from **Baunos**, small winged scavengers found around **Area 11** and **Area 13** in the Windward Plains. These pods will help you stun the Sandstar.
Once it's night, head to the midpoint between Area 11 and Area 13. Keep your eyes peeled for the Sandstar. When you spot it, chase it down at full speed. As you get close, use a Screamer Pod to stun the creature. Quickly switch to your **Capture Net** (used for fishing as well) and throw it at the Sandstar to capture it. Upon successful capture, the 'I Caught a Shooting Star!' trophy/achievement will unlock, and you'll earn the **Ribbon Dream: Amber** nameplate for your Hunter Profile.
That's all you need to know to secure the 'I Caught a Shooting Star!' trophy/achievement in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. Be sure to explore our other guides, including how to skip cutscenes, to enhance your gaming experience.
