How to Respec Your Character in Avowed (& When You Want To)
When you embark on your journey in *Avowed*, it can be tough to pinpoint the ideal character build right from the start. This is where respeccing becomes your best friend. If you find yourself not enjoying your character's performance, it's time to consider a respec. I learned this the hard way in *Avowed* when I initially aimed for a full wizard build, only to get overwhelmed in combat. Switching to a spellsword significantly improved my experience. As you progress further in the game, respeccing can help you fine-tune your build to maximize your combat effectiveness and achieve your dream character setup.
How to Respec Your Abilities in Avowed
To respec your abilities in *Avowed*, head to the main menu and select the “Abilities” section. Scroll to the bottom, and you'll find the “Reset Points” option. The initial cost is 100 Copper Skeyt, which increases as you continue playing. Simply hit the button, confirm, and pay the listed price. This action will reset all your ability points across all skill trees, except for the “Godlike” abilities, which are fixed and earned through in-game choices.
How to Respec Your Attributes in Avowed
If you're satisfied with your abilities but want to tweak your attributes, or perhaps overhaul everything at once, here's how to respec your attribute points in *Avowed*. Open the menu and go to the “Character” section. At the bottom, under the list of attributes, you'll see a button with an associated cost. Similar to abilities, the cost will go up over time, starting at 100 Copper Skeyt. Click the button, pay the fee, and enjoy your newly freed Attribute points.
How to Respec Your Companion in Avowed
Want to respec your companion in *Avowed*? Navigate to the menu, enter the Abilities section, and switch to the “Companions” tab. Below your companion's name, you'll find an icon and a button that, when pressed, allows you to spend Copper Skeyt to reset their points. Confirm the action, and you'll regain all of your companion's points. Keep in mind, you'll need to respec each companion individually.
And there you have it—that's how you can respec in *Avowed* and tailor your gameplay experience to your liking. Whether you're adjusting your character, abilities, attributes, or companions, you now have the tools to make *Avowed* the game you want it to be.
Avowed is available now.
