Gyarados Ex Deck Strategies

Gyarados Ex boasts 180 HP, resisting attacks from Mewtwo Ex and Pikachu Ex. Its "Rampaging Whirlpool" attack (3 Water, 1 Colorless Energy) discards a random Energy from all Pokémon, dealing 140 damage. This, combined with a Giovanni, easily knocks out powerful opponents. Even without Giovanni, strategic chip damage makes Gyarados Ex a powerful finisher.

Gyarados Ex/Greninja Combo

This deck utilizes a strategic approach:

• Pokémon: Froakie x2, Frogadier x2, Greninja x2, Druddigon x2, Magikarp x2, Gyarados Ex x2
• Trainers: Misty x2, Leaf x2, Professor’s Research x2, Poke Ball x2

Druddigon (100 HP) acts as a sturdy defender and inflicts chip damage without needing Energy. Greninja provides additional chip damage and serves as a backup attacker. Gyarados Ex finishes off weakened opponents.

Gyarados Ex/Starmie Ex/Vaporeon Combo

This deck offers a faster, more versatile strategy:

Starmie Ex's zero-cost retreat allows for timely Gyarados Ex deployment. Vaporeon facilitates efficient Energy management, ensuring Gyarados Ex is always ready to attack. Both Starmie Ex and Vaporeon function as early-game attackers.
