Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 8: A Deep Dive into New Content

Hearthstone's Season 8 has arrived, bringing exciting updates to Battlegrounds! This season introduces new heroes, minions, cards, and game-changing mechanics that veteran players will adore. Let's explore the highlights.

The New Power-Ups: Trinkets

Trinkets are the star of Season 8, acting as powerful new upgrades. Players can acquire 56 Lesser Trinkets and 60 Greater Trinkets, with the possibility of obtaining duplicates. These upgrades are strategically offered on turns 6 and 9, presenting four choices each time. Importantly, Trinket availability is influenced by your hero and current board composition, ensuring a variety of options for all strategies (Elementals, Dragons, Murlocs, etc.).

Meet Marin the Manager: The New Hero

Season 8 introduces Marin the Manager, a new hero with a unique ability: access to an extra Trinket a turn earlier than usual! This advantage provides a significant strategic edge.

Minions and Spells: A Roster Refresh

Season 8 also features a minion refresh. While 41 minions are rotating out, 22 fan favorites return, accompanied by 27 brand-new minions and 2 exciting Tavern spells.

New Cards to Collect

Four new cards add further depth to gameplay:

• Free Travel Winner (Tier 2): A 2/2 minion that disappears after surviving combat, rewarding you with a Triple Reward.
• Inspiring Underdog (Tier 4): Strengthens your lower-tier minions.
• Lucky Egg (Tier 5): Transforms into a Golden Tier 3 minion.
• Sun Screener (Tier 6): A 10/1 minion granting Divine Shield to your three leftmost minions and your opponent's.

The Marin Resort's Treasure Hunt Event

From August 27th to September 17th, participate in the Marin Resort's Treasure Hunt event! Complete Event Quests to earn 14 packs, including those from Perils in Paradise and Whizbang's Workshop.
