Hearthstone Unveils Raptor Revolution for 2023
Hearthstone's Year of the Raptor: A 2025 Roadmap of New Content and Features
Get ready for a thrilling year in Hearthstone! 2025 promises a whirlwind of surprises, fresh gameplay mechanics, and exciting new features. The familiar rhythm of expansions, Mini-Sets, and Battlegrounds seasons continues, with a significant emphasis on community feedback. The positive reception to the Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set has clearly energized Blizzard, resulting in an ambitious roadmap for the year.
What's New in the Year of the Raptor?
Arena is receiving a major overhaul, a project in development since last year, finally ready for its debut. This update aims to revitalize the Arena experience for both seasoned veterans and newcomers.
The cosmetic side of Hearthstone is also getting a significant boost. Expect new Mythic skins and Signature cards. Most excitingly, a brand-new feature is being introduced: Pets! These adorable companions will be integrated into a new cosmetic acquisition system, although details remain scarce for now.
The Year of the Raptor officially begins with the "Into the Emerald Dream" expansion. Card reveals begin next week, but in-game celebrations are already underway. Players can earn rewards such as The Great Dark Beyond Epic cards, new expansion packs, and a Raptor Herald card by completing the Event Track. Check out the official cinematic trailer:
More to Come!
A dynamic, evolving game board is launching alongside the expansion. This Year of the Raptor board will remain throughout the year, receiving visual and audio updates with each subsequent expansion.
The Core Set is also undergoing a refresh. Classic cards are returning with subtle adjustments, and new cards are being added to the mix. With such a packed schedule, now might be the perfect time to return to Hearthstone! Download it from the Google Play Store if you haven't already.
