Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era Launches Open Arena Mode Beta Testing
Unfrozen has just unveiled an exciting new gameplay trailer for Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era, highlighting the game's strategic mechanics, diverse units, and immersive gameplay. Fans can now get a closer look at what's in store for this much-anticipated strategy game. Alongside the trailer, Unfrozen has opened registration for the closed beta test of the "Arena" mode. Eager players can sign up for access through the game's Steam page, with the testing phase set to run from March 17 to March 28.
Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era is slated to hit early access on Steam in the second quarter of 2025. Upon release, players will dive into a rich world featuring six distinct factions, three engaging single-player modes, and three dynamic multiplayer options. Ubisoft is steering the publishing ship for this eagerly awaited title, ensuring a polished experience for gamers.
In a recent update, the developers introduced the Dungeon faction, complete with a roster of fascinating units like troglodytes, dark elves, minotaurs, medusas, hydras, and dragons. Each unit adds a unique layer of strategy to the game, enhancing its depth and appeal.
The team at Unfrozen has been candid about the challenges they encountered while crafting the Arena mode, particularly in balancing skills and heroes within the constraints of limited space and no initial advantages. Despite these hurdles, they've managed to fine-tune the mode, promising a smooth and engaging experience for players.
While Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era is expected to launch on PC later this year, an exact release date is still under wraps. The developers are meticulously designing the game to cater to both seasoned fans of the series and newcomers, ensuring a welcoming and strategic experience for all.
