Honor of Kings: $3M Prize at 2025 Esports World Cup
The Esports World Cup 2025 is set to be a landmark event for mobile esports, featuring top games like PUBG Mobile, Free Fire, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. This summer's showdown in Riyadh promises an impressive display of skill and hefty prize pools. Adding to the excitement, Honor of Kings is making a grand return, elevating the competition to new heights.
Under a new three-year partnership with the EWC, the Honor of Kings World Cup will boast a $3 million prize pool and an expanded format. The tournament, running from July 15th to July 26th, will feature 18 teams from around the world, including elite squads from the King Pro League and Asian Champions League.
The competition kicks off with a Group Stage, where 16 teams are divided into four double-elimination brackets. The top team from each group will advance directly to the Playoffs, while second-place teams will fight for the last two spots in a Last Chance bracket.
Matches in the early rounds will be played in best-of-three and best-of-five formats, leading up to the Playoffs. Here, the champions of the KPL and ACL await their challengers. The final stage, scheduled for August 16th, will feature a best-of-seven format, with a third-place match also on the agenda.
