In Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, the thrill of action-packed gameplay is complemented by extensive options for weapon and outfit customization. Whether you're sneaking past machines or engaging in intense melee or ranged combat, crafting the perfect outfit can significantly enhance your gameplay experience.

At times, you might find yourself wishing to harness the benefits of multiple outfits simultaneously. Fortunately, this is possible within the remastered version, though with certain constraints. Let's dive into how you can achieve this.

Remastered Version Of Horizon Zero Dawn Required

To enjoy the perks of dual outfit effects, you'll need the Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered edition. A recent patch introduced the innovative transmog feature, allowing you to retain the stats and effects of one outfit while adopting the appearance of another. This means you no longer have to compromise on style for the sake of stats.

Pre-Requisite For The Two Outfit Method

To leverage the effects of two outfits, there are specific prerequisites to consider. Not all outfits are compatible with this technique. While you can choose any outfit for one slot, the other must be one of the following:

  • Banuk Werak Runner
  • Banuk Werak Chieftain
  • Banuk Werak Chieftain Adept (exclusively available in New Game Plus)

These outfits become accessible within the Frozen Wilds DLC area, which you can enter without completing the base game.

How To Get Banuk Werak Outfits In Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered

Banuk Werak Runner

Start by venturing into the expansion area after defeating the new machine. If you encounter challenges, consider adjusting the difficulty or enhancing your gear. Once in the area, seek out a Bluegleam Merchant, identified by a blue Merchant icon, and acquire the Banuk Werak Runner outfit.

Banuk Werak Chieftain & Banuk Werak Chieftain Adept

To obtain the superior Banuk Werak Chieftain outfit, you must complete the "For the Werak" quest, the third main quest in the Frozen Wilds DLC. Equip your best gear for this demanding mission, or opt for Story mode to ease your path to the outfit.

The process for the Adept version remains the same, but it's only accessible in New Game Plus.

Once you've secured the second outfit, you're ready to proceed without further exploration of the Frozen Wilds if you choose.

What To Do To Get the Effects Of Two Outfits

Begin by equipping your preferred outfit, focusing on the stats you desire. Enhance your outfit's capabilities with Weaves as needed. Then, utilize the transmog feature to overlay the appearance of one of the three specified Banuk Werak outfits. While these outfits don't boost stats, they offer an invaluable auto-healing perk that activates after sustaining damage for a period.

This strategy allows you to maintain the stats of your chosen outfit while benefiting from the auto-healing feature of the Banuk Werak outfits. If your primary outfit is the Shield Weaver, you'll be nearly invincible, with the rare damage you take quickly countered by the healing perk of the Banuk Werak outfits.

The Chieftain and Chieftain Adept outfits' healing perk activates more swiftly than the Runner's, making them the preferred choice when available.
