"Hyde Run: Global Release of High-Speed Endless Runner Game!"
If you're a fan of Japanese music, you're likely familiar with HYDE, the acclaimed artist who has not only performed at Madison Square Garden but has also sold over 40 million records. Today marks a thrilling milestone as HYDE steps into the world of gaming as the central character in the newly launched global endless runner game, Hyde Run.
Originally released in Japan, Hyde Run has now expanded its reach to fans worldwide. The game's developer and publisher, Phoenixx, aims to celebrate HYDE's illustrious career through a gameplay experience rich with references to his music and journey.
Move, Jump or Slide in Hyde Run
In Hyde Run, you embody HYDE, navigating through a thrilling blend of concert stages and a futuristic rendition of Tokyo. Engage in a high-speed chase across Neo Tokyo, deftly dodging obstacles, executing wall-runs past vibrant billboards, and collecting musical notes along the way.
What sets Hyde Run apart from typical endless runners is its unique infusion of rock energy and fan-centric elements, drawing directly from HYDE's career. As you dash through the neon-lit city, you can snag various power-ups, such as magnets that attract musical notes or barriers that shield you from damage.
Before embarking on each run, you have the option to activate items that give you an edge. Choose a Note Gain to enhance your note collection or opt for a Barrier to avoid tripping over obstacles.
Moreover, collecting crystals throughout the game allows you to unlock exclusive outfits and room items inspired by HYDE's career. You can even access personal voice clips from HYDE by unlocking the Microphone Stand.
There’s More Stuff in the Game to Do
Hyde Run also offers the ability to customize HYDE's room within the game, featuring memorabilia spanning the last two decades. From tour gear to more obscure references, you'll uncover hidden items that unlock additional messages and voice notes from HYDE.
Currently, there are limited-time items available until June 10th, 2025. The THE LAST ROCKSTARS Costume Set allows you to dress HYDE in his iconic look from the music video, complete with matching ROCK Furniture like leopard prints, vintage trunks, and stage spotlights.
For a more relaxed vibe, the Bat Jinbei Costume Set offers a summer-festival inspired look. Additionally, there's a Japanese-style furniture set featuring bamboo, bonboris, and a wind chime shaped like HYDE's Edyh character for a traditional touch.
Download Hyde Run from the Google Play Store and immerse yourself in the world of HYDE. And don't forget to check out our next piece on the story-driven anthropomorphic adventure, Duck Detective: The Secret Salami.
