"Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment Revealed for Nintendo Switch 2"
The Nintendo Switch 2 would feel incomplete without a Zelda title, and today's Nintendo Direct brought an unexpected surprise. Koei Tecmo is set to release a new Hyrule Warriors game titled "Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment," which serves as a prequel to Tears of the Kingdom. Fans can look forward to diving into this new adventure this winter.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment brings back the exhilarating action of the Hyrule Warriors series, this time featuring characters from the ancient history of Tears of the Kingdom. Players will follow the journey of Zelda as she travels back in time and allies with the last of the Zonai, including Rauru, his sister Mineru, and his wife Sonia, to battle Ganondorf's forces. This marks the third installment in the Hyrule Warriors series, following the original and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, which was a prequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Age of Calamity impressed with its fresh take on the known story, earning a 9/10 from us for being "a joy to play and discover" and "a blast from start to finish." It will be fascinating to see if Age of Imprisonment follows suit with its own unique twists.
