Idris Elba, star of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, envisions a live-action Cyberpunk 2077 film alongside Keanu Reeves. He recently expressed this excitement in an interview with ScreenRant, suggesting a powerful on-screen pairing.
Elba, reprising his role as Knuckles in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (which also features Reeves as Shadow), enthusiastically stated that a live-action adaptation of Cyberpunk 2077 featuring himself and Reeves would be incredible. He believes their characters would create a truly captivating dynamic.
This isn't just wishful thinking; Variety reported in October 2023 that a live-action Cyberpunk 2077 project is underway, with CD Projekt Red collaborating with Anonymous Content.
