Exciting news for Disney enthusiasts as Disneyland Paris gears up for an unforgettable addition to its reimagined Walt Disney Studios Park, soon to be known as Disney Adventure World. The much-anticipated Lion King ride, set to commence construction in Fall 2025, promises to be a highlight of the revamped park. This new water ride will immerse guests in the iconic scenes of the beloved 1994 classic, The Lion King.

The Lion King-themed land will feature a towering 120-foot-high Pride Rock, alongside a plethora of dining options, shopping experiences, character meet-and-greets, and more. A newly released concept image showcases Audio-Animatronics of young Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa enjoying a meal in a lush jungle setting, hinting at the thrilling adventure that awaits. The ride itself will include a dramatic 52-foot drop, just two inches taller than Tiana's Bayou Adventure, ensuring an exhilarating experience for all.

While an exact opening date for The Lion King ride remains under wraps, it is slated to debut following the grand opening of World of Frozen in 2026. This ride is just one component of the expansive Disney Adventure World, which will double the current park's size.

In addition to The Lion King and World of Frozen, Disney Adventure World will introduce the Raiponce Tangled Spin ride, featuring Mandy Moore reprising her role as Rapunzel. Another first-of-its-kind attraction themed after Up will offer guests a "spinning carousel" experience with breathtaking views of the park's scenery.
