Indus by Supergaming Hits 11M Pre-Registrations, Adds 4v4 Deathmatch Mode
Supergaming's Indus, the much-anticipated Indian-made battle royale game, has just unveiled an exciting new 4v4 deathmatch mode. This addition comes as the game continues to captivate the Indian gaming community, now boasting an impressive milestone of over 11 million pre-registrations. Despite this progress, a full release date remains elusive, with the game still in its closed beta phase.
Indus is not just another battle royale game; it's designed by and for an Indian audience. It includes all the thrilling elements typical of the genre, such as intense battles and survival mechanics, along with innovative features like the Grudge system, which rewards players for engaging in fierce rivalries. The closed beta participants can now enjoy an enhanced audio experience, thanks to the latest updates in sound effects and music.
Since its announcement in 2022, Indus has been through several beta phases, each time adding more features and refining the gameplay experience. The game's growing popularity is evident in its pre-registration numbers, which, while impressive, show a slight slowdown compared to the rapid rise seen earlier. For instance, it took the game from March to now to go from 10 million to 11 million pre-registrations, a testament to its sustained but steadier growth in a country with a burgeoning mobile gaming scene.
While Indus continues to refine its gameplay and features, the gaming community eagerly awaits a full release. Initially speculated to launch by the end of 2023, that timeline has passed without a public release. Here's hoping that 2024 will be the year Indus transitions from closed beta to a full release or at least a public beta, bringing this uniquely Indian battle royale experience to a broader audience.
In the meantime, if you're looking for other engaging games to play, why not explore our list of the top mobile games of 2024 (so far)? There's plenty to enjoy while you wait for Indus to hit the public domain.
