Apple unveiled two exciting iPad upgrades this week, both launching March 12th, available for pre-order now. The M3 iPad Air starts at $599, and the new 11th-generation iPad begins at $349. While these are iterative updates rather than complete overhauls, they boast enhanced power compared to their predecessors, making them compelling choices for prospective buyers.

The new 11th-generation iPad is perfect for everyday tablet use. It boasts a speedy A16 chip (up from the A14 in the previous model) and double the starting storage at 128GB—all at no extra cost. Aesthetically similar to its predecessor, it's available in silver, blue, yellow, and pink. While internally superior, it notably does not include Apple Intelligence.

If you can forgo Apple Intelligence (and many iPhone 16 users can attest to this!), the 11th-gen iPad offers ample power for typical tasks such as gaming, web browsing, video streaming, social media, email, and more. It’s built to handle these activities smoothly for years to come.

The new iPad Air occupies a sweet spot in Apple's tablet lineup, offering more power than the base iPad but falling short of the iPad Pro. If you require more computing muscle than the entry-level model provides, the M3-powered iPad Air is an excellent choice, available in 11-inch and 13-inch sizes.

As its name suggests, it features Apple's powerful M3 chip and supports Apple Intelligence, a feature absent in the base model. It's also compatible with a new Magic Keyboard (available at Apple) boasting function keys and a trackpad.
