The project is in its early stages, with Thunder Road producers Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee, along with franchise director and producer Chad Stahelski, and star and producer Keanu Reeves all involved. No specific release date has been set yet.
The decision to move forward with another installment in the mainline series comes as no surprise, especially after John Wick: Chapter 4 grossed over $440 million globally. Each film in the series has not only been successful but has also managed to outperform its predecessor, a rare achievement in the film industry.
