Konosuba: Fantastic Days Bids Farewell, Offline Iteration in the Works
The popular mobile RPG, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days, will be ending its service on January 30th, 2025. After almost five years, both the global and Japanese servers will shut down simultaneously. However, developers are planning a limited offline version to preserve the core game experience, including the main story, key quests, and major events. Details on this offline version remain scarce.
In-app purchases have been disabled since October 31st, 2024. Official channels will close on February 28th, 2025. Players can still utilize existing in-game Quartz and items until the service ends. Refunds for unused Quartz or unclaimed purchases from early 2024 are available until January 30th, 2025.
KonoSuba: Fantastic Days, the first mobile game based on the KonoSuba franchise, launched in Japan in February 2020 and globally in August 2021. While praised for its charming story, appealing visuals, and visual novel-style story mode, it ultimately succumbed to the challenges faced by many gacha RPGs, including declining player interest and rising production costs. This mirrors a trend of anime game shutdowns seen this year.
If you haven't already experienced KonoSuba: Fantastic Days, you have only a few months left to play. Download it now from the Google Play Store. For more gaming news, check out our article on Orna: The GPS MMORPG's Conqueror's Guild for PvP Battles.
