Conquering Kupolovrax: A Project Tower Boss Guide

Kupolovrax, a formidable boss in Project Tower, presents a significant challenge due to its projectile attacks. This guide outlines strategies to overcome this enemy and emerge victorious. While targeting the illuminated segments seems intuitive, attacks directed at the carapace also inflict damage.

Phase 1

Initially, Kupolovrax remains stationary on the platform. Maintain distance, consistently fire upon the enemy, and employ the following evasive maneuvers:

  • Orb Ring Fall: Dodge roll just before the descending orb rings reach you. Look up to anticipate their trajectory.
  • Orb Scattershot Fall: Strafe left and right to navigate the scattered projectiles. Dodge roll if a direct hit is imminent.
  • Orb Line Push: This attack is the most challenging. A recommended tactic is to wait for the first line, perform a forward dodge roll, and immediately dash forward to clear the subsequent lines.
  • Stomp: Simply jump over the resulting shockwave; continue firing while airborne.

Phase 2

Kupolovrax takes flight at approximately 66% health. Continue maintaining distance and firing while utilizing these avoidance techniques:

  • Orb Scattershot Fall: Due to the slower descent, carefully observe the falling orbs and strafe to evade them.
  • Orb Ring Push: Hold your position until the rings are about to impact, then dodge roll to the left or right to clear the threat.
  • Orb Line Push: Similar to Phase 1, wait for the initial line, perform a forward dodge roll, and immediately dash forward. Alternatively, a dodge roll left or right followed by an opposite dash can also prove effective.

Phase 3

Triggered at roughly 33% health, Phase 3 resembles Phase 2, but with a modified attack:

  • Modified Orb Ring Push: This three-part attack consists of converging rings, followed by two rapid ring pushes, and finally, falling orb rings. Dodge roll left just before the initial rings, then immediately dash right to avoid the quick pushes, and finally, walk forward to evade the falling rings.

Project Tower is available on PC and PS5.
