Arriving in 2026, First Gameplay Preview Coming Later This Year
No major gaming event is complete without a new soulslike title stepping into the spotlight, and at Gamescom 2025 ONL, that role goes to Lords of the Fallen 2. Acting as a direct sequel to the 2023 breakout hit—which itself rebooted a lukewarm 2014 release—Lords of the Fallen 2 returns players to the grim world of Mournstead. This time, the realm is splitting at its foundations, and the boundary between life and death is fading.
The announcement trailer introduces a new hero, referred to for now as "the Lampbearer," confronting numerous foes and what appears to be one of the game's main bosses. The title is officially set to launch in 2026 on PlayStation 5, with an in-depth gameplay preview expected later in 2025. Wishlisting is now open.
