First up, let's take a look at Cloudspire Coordinator. This uncommon creature card is a gem for red-white decks, capturing the essence of the Cloudspire Racing Team from the plane of Kylem, introduced in the 2018 set, Battlebond. With a power of 3, it's perfectly suited for crewing vehicles, and its activated ability allows you to generate Pilot token creatures to take the wheel. If you're drafting a red-white deck for Aetherdrift, this card could be a game-changer.
Next, we have the rare enchantment, Count on Luck. This 3-mana card with an all-red-pip casting cost introduces an exciting "impulse draw" mechanic. At the start of your turn, you exile the top card of your library and can play it that turn. It's a straightforward yet powerful tool for mono-red decks, offering you extra cards to play as long as you can use them immediately. It's a "use it or lose it" strategy that can really ramp up your gameplay.
We're also excited to showcase Count on Luck in its extended-art and First-Place Foil versions. While the extended art simply expands the artwork beyond the traditional card frame, the First-Place Foils are a dazzling new addition to Aetherdrift. These golden cards are exclusive to a randomized buy-a-box promo pack included with every Aetherdrift box, and they feature all the set's rares along with 10 full-art lands.
Mark your calendars: Aetherdrift will be available both in paper and online starting February 14, with prereleases beginning on February 7. To dive deeper into the set's mechanics, check out the full details here.
