Marvel Rivals' Future Seasons: Reduced Content Plans
Marvel Rivals Season 1: A Double-Sized Debut
Get ready for a massive start to Marvel Rivals! Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST, boasts double the content of a typical season. This unprecedented expansion is due to the developers' decision to introduce the Fantastic Four as a unified group, resulting in a richer, more extensive gameplay experience.
Expect three new maps: the Sanctum Sanctorum (launching with Season 1 and featuring the new Doom Match mode), Midtown (for Convoy missions), and the yet-to-be-fully-revealed Central Park. More details on Central Park will be shared closer to the mid-season update.
The Fantastic Four's arrival marks a significant addition to the roster. Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman debut on January 10th, classified as a Duelist and Strategist respectively. The Thing and Human Torch will join the fray approximately six to seven weeks later, during the mid-season update.
While the extended Season 1 is exciting news, the absence of Blade has disappointed some fans. However, future seasons hold the potential for his inclusion.
The developers haven't specified how this oversized season will affect future content releases, but it's currently anticipated that the pattern of two new heroes/villains per season will continue. With a wealth of new content and ongoing speculation, Marvel Rivals' future looks incredibly promising.
