Marvel Rivals Sets February Release Date for The Thing and Human Torch
Get ready, Marvel Rivals players! The Fantastic Four team is about to get even more fantastic. The Thing and Human Torch are joining the roster as playable characters on February 21, 2025, rounding out the iconic quartet. This exciting addition coincides with the launch of the Season 1.5 update, promising "major balance adjustments," as teased in a recent Dev Talk blog post on the official website.
While details on their specific abilities remain under wraps, Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman, introduced at the start of Season 1, significantly impacted gameplay. Mister Fantastic's elastic powers and Sue Storm's invisibility mechanics shifted the meta, and we can expect Ben Grimm and Johnny Storm to do the same. Let's hope for a gameplay reveal soon!
The Season 1.5 update also brings a rank reset for Ranked players. On February 21st, expect a four-division drop. Future seasons will see a six-division drop at the start, while mid-season updates will result in a four-division drop. NetEase assures players this system will be adjusted as needed based on community feedback.
The good news? Gold-ranked players can look forward to new costume rewards. Additionally, new Crests of Honor will recognize top performers at Grandmaster, Celestial, Eternity, and One Above All (top 500) levels.
