The upcoming PC release of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is generating significant buzz, not for its marketing campaign, but for its conspicuous lack thereof. The absence of pre-orders and undisclosed system requirements have fueled speculation and controversy among gamers.

Sony's recent strategy of reducing the release window between PlayStation and PC versions has already faced backlash from console loyalists. Factors such as the underwhelming sales of Final Fantasy 16 might be prompting a reassessment of this approach.

The earlier-than-usual announcement of the PC version sparked rumors of a potential simultaneous release on both platforms. However, this strategy has alienated some PlayStation fans who value the platform's exclusivity. Further complicating matters is the PSN regional lock-in, which hinders sales and frustrates players worldwide.

The current uncertainty surrounding Marvel's Spider-Man 2's PC launch, particularly the absence of pre-orders and system specifications, hints at a possible delay. Some believe Sony might postpone the release by several months to refine the PC port or adjust its overall PC porting strategy. The situation remains fluid, leaving gamers anxiously awaiting further announcements.
