"Mecha BREAK to Unlock All Starting Mechs After Feedback"
Mecha BREAK's recent open beta on Steam, which concluded on March 16, drew significant attention and valuable feedback from players. With a peak of over 300,000 players and currently ranking as the 5th most wishlisted game on Steam, the excitement around this multiplayer mech game is palpable. In response to player feedback, Chinese developer Amazing Seasun is now contemplating a major shift in the game's structure—potentially making all starting mechs, known as Break Strikers, available for free right from the start.

Mecha BREAK Developers Considering Making All Mechs Free

The feedback gathered during the open beta has led Amazing Seasun to reevaluate the initial availability of Break Strikers and the mechanics surrounding mech modules for both 3v3 and 6v6 competitive modes. While the developers are still in the deliberation phase and haven't committed to any specific changes, they emphasize the importance of a live service model for the game's launch and its long-term success.
At the game's outset, players had access to only one Break Striker, with the option to unlock the remaining 11 by earning in-game currency through multiplayer matches. This process could be quite time-consuming, requiring dedicated players to grind extensively to access all available mechs.
