How Cliff Plays?

Cliff's battles unfold in three phases:
- Phase 1: Always uses Shadow Cubone.
- Phase 2: Randomly uses Shadow Machoke, Shadow Annihilape, or Shadow Marowak.
- Phase 3: Randomly uses Shadow Tyranitar, Shadow Machamp, or Shadow Crobat.
This unpredictable nature makes choosing the optimal team crucial.
Which Pokémon Are Best to Choose?
Counter Cliff's Pokémon by understanding their weaknesses. While his lineup varies, these Pokémon offer strong countermeasures:
Shadow Mewtwo

Highly effective against Shadow Machoke, Shadow Annihilape, Shadow Machamp, and Shadow Crobat. A strong choice for phases two and three.
Mega Rayquaza

Shares similar effectiveness as Shadow Mewtwo against several of Cliff's Pokémon. Excellent for phases two and three, especially when paired with Shadow Mewtwo.
Kyogre

Standard Kyogre excels in phase one against Shadow Cubone. Primal Kyogre is significantly stronger, countering Shadow Tyranitar, Shadow Marowak, and Shadow Cubone, making it versatile across all phases.
Dawn Wings Necrozma

Effective against Shadow Annihilape and Shadow Machoke, but limited in its overall usefulness due to only countering two of Cliff's potential Pokémon.
Mega Swampert

Effective against Shadow Marowak and Shadow Cubone, making it suitable for phase one. Less effective in later phases due to Cliff's varied Pokémon choices.
A suggested team: Primal Kyogre (Phase 1), Shadow Mewtwo (Phase 2), Mega Rayquaza (Phase 3). Adapt based on your available Pokémon.
How to Find Cliff?
To battle Cliff, you must first defeat six Team GO Rocket Grunts to obtain Rocket Radar components. Crafting a Rocket Radar reveals a Team GO Rocket Leader's location—Cliff has a one-third chance of appearing.
Cliff's Pokémon are stronger than Grunts', demanding a well-prepared team. Defeating him destroys your Rocket Radar, but you can attempt a rematch if you fail.

Remember, strategic Pokémon selection and understanding Cliff's battle phases are key to victory. While Shadow Mewtwo, Mega Rayquaza, and Primal Kyogre are ideal, adapt your strategy based on your available Pokémon roster. Good luck, Trainer!
