"Minion Rush Gets Major Update with Unity Engine Switch"
If there’s one Gameloft game that has defied expectations with its longevity, it’s Minion Rush. No one could have predicted the global success of a French animated film from a relatively unknown studio before Despicable Me hit theaters. Yet here we are, and Gameloft is set to roll out what they’re calling Minion Rush’s biggest update yet.
This isn’t just any update—it’s a clear sign that Gameloft sees Minion Rush sticking around for the long haul. The game is moving to Unity, a brand-new engine, which brings with it a complete visual overhaul. That means players will experience a fresher, more modern look for this long-running favorite.
But that’s not all. Alongside the new visuals comes a sleeker user interface and exciting new features. One standout addition is the introduction of an endless runner mode, accessible directly from the main menu. This was something many fans had hoped for, and finally, it’s here.

This update is a long time coming, especially when it comes to refreshing Minion Rush for today’s devices and players. Now that it’s here, it’s hard to imagine anyone complaining. Personalized player profiles are part of the package, allowing you to customize your nickname, avatar, and frame to stand out.
Another highlight is the new Hall of Jam, offering enhanced progression rewards like G-Coins, Minion stickers (for upgrading or unlocking costumes), story puzzle pieces, gadgets, and more. And let’s not forget the fresh power-ups: Disco-boot, Bouncer, Rocket Blade, and Minion Armor.
