• The MLBB Women’s Invitational returns in July 2025
• 16 teams will compete from July 15th to 19th
• Can Smart Omega Empress defend their title?

After one of the most thrilling conclusions at the entire 2024 Esports World Cup, the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women’s Invitational (MWI) is officially coming back to Riyadh in July 2025. Last year’s tournament witnessed a historic upset as Smart Omega Empress dethroned the long-reigning Team Vitality in the Grand Final, ending their remarkable three-year, 24-tournament winning streak.

This time, the competition intensifies. Sixteen of the world's top all-women MLBB teams will vie for glory and a record-breaking prize pool. Scheduled from July 15th to 19th, MWI 2025 will begin with a double-elimination Group Stage involving all 16 qualified contenders.

The top eight teams will progress to a single-elimination playoff bracket, where they'll battle for a share of the $550,000 prize fund, plus a $10,000 MVP bonus awarded to the tournament's most outstanding player.

This year's qualification format is broader than ever, attracting elite talent from nearly every region. Several powerhouse teams have already secured their invites, including DreamMax from the MWI 2025 LATAM Qualifiers, CFU Serendipity from Queen Legends Season 1, NAVI MY from the MYSG Qualifier, and Falcons Vega MENA from the Carry1st Africa Cup.

More slots will be filled through ongoing regional competitions such as BOG Season 1, Athena League, and Lady MVP Season 6, with additional qualifiers from China, North America, the Mekong region, Mongolia, and Türkiye concluding in the coming weeks.

MWI's comeback is a key part of the larger Esports World Cup 2025, an event that unites top clubs across multiple games in a unique cross-game championship format. Smart Omega Empress returns as the defending champions, but with formidable opponents from every region entering the fray, the outcome is wide open.
