Monopoly Adds Valentine's Love to Gameplay
Monopoly's Valentine's Day Update: Love is in the Air (and on the Board!)
Get ready for a romantic twist on classic Monopoly! Marmalade Game Studio and Hasbro have unveiled a special Valentine's Day update for the Android and iOS versions of the game, featuring limited-time content designed to celebrate love in a fun, competitive way.
This update includes a fun quiz to match you with one of four love-themed Monopoly tokens. Enjoy a 24-hour free trial of your matched token, with a discounted price available afterward if you wish to keep it.
The update also introduces exciting new House Rules designed to speed up gameplay. These include:
- Quick Hotels: Build hotels with only three houses instead of four.
- Quick End: The game ends after the first player goes bankrupt.
- Quick Jail: Escape jail on your very first turn.
- Starting Title Deeds: Begin the game with three randomly assigned properties.
- Skip Spaces: Bypass tax, Chance, and Community Chest spaces for a faster game.
Adding to the Valentine's Day festivities, a charming new set of Cupid-inspired tokens and the "Sweethearts" bundle, featuring two adorable cherubs, are now available.
Radu Rovin, Head of Studio at Marmalade Game Studio, commented, "We aimed to create an event celebrating diverse expressions of love this Valentine's Day—from friendships formed while playing Monopoly to enjoying some well-deserved self-care time with your favorite game."
