Capcom's Monster Hunter Wilds Showcase today was a treasure trove of exciting updates and content for fans of the series. The spotlight was on Title Update 1, set to launch on April 4, 2025, which will be a free update for all Monster Hunter Wilds players. Alongside this update, a variety of free and paid DLC will be available, enhancing the game's depth and customization options. The update introduces a new hub for socializing, fresh armor and cosmetics to revamp your hunter's style, and new challenging monsters to hunt, ensuring that the thrill of the hunt never fades.

We now have a clear roadmap for the upcoming content in Monster Hunter Wilds. What aspect of Title Update 1 excites you the most? Share your thoughts below!

PlayA New Hub For Hunters ---------------------

The showcase kicked off with an exciting reveal of the new endgame hub for hunting parties, known as the Grand Hub. This new area promises plenty of engaging activities, from feasting together and arm wrestling to enjoying the Diva's nightly performances. The Grand Hub also introduces a fun Barrel Bowling mini-game, where you can earn vouchers and rewards through various in-game activities. To unlock this hub, reach Hunter Rank 16 and speak with Tetsuzan in Suja, the Peaks of Accord.

Mizutsune Arrives

A major highlight of Title Update 1 is the arrival of the elegant yet dangerous Mizutsune. Known for its swift tail strikes and powerful water jets, this monster is sure to challenge hunters. To encounter Mizutsune, reach HR 21 or above, head to the Scarlet Forest, and speak with Kanya to embark on the quest. Successfully hunting Mizutsune will reward you with new gear to enhance your arsenal.

Additional Hunts on the Way

Title Update 1 also introduces new Event Quests, including a battle against the formidable Arch-tempered Rey Dau. This fight promises to be a step above typical Tempered encounters, requiring you to be at least HR 50 to participate. New armor awaits those who can conquer this challenge. Additionally, Zoh Shia, previously a one-time fight, will now be available for re-fights through new quests at HR 50, with new armor to craft from these encounters.

Arena Quests

Speedrunners have a new challenge with the introduction of Arena Quests. These quests allow hunters to compete for the fastest clear times, available in both Challenge Quests and Free Challenge Quests formats. Participation and achievement in these quests earn you pendants, accessible through the counter in the Grand Hub.

Change Alma's Outfit

Alma, one of the hardest-working handlers, is getting a stylish upgrade. You can now change Alma's attire through an appearance menu at camp, with one new outfit available for free. Complete a certain side mission to also change Alma's glasses, adding a personal touch to your handler's look.

More DLC is on the Way

In addition to Title Update 1, a range of free and paid DLC will be released. Classic gestures from previous Monster Hunter games will be freely available in the store, while the Cosmetic DLC Pack 1, accessible through the store or included in the Cosmetic DLC Pass or Premium Deluxe Edition, offers new looks for Alma, stickers, and more.

More Event Quests and Seasonal Events

Further enriching the game, new Event Quests and Seasonal Events are on the horizon. During these events, the Grand Hub's appearance will change, and special meals will be available. These events will also introduce limited equipment, gestures, and decorations. The first Seasonal Event, the Festival of Accord: Blossomdance, starts on April 23, featuring pink cherry blossoms and new decor. Capcom has confirmed that most past events and Event Quests will return in the future.

The Roadmap Ahead

Here's the rollout plan for Title Update 1 and its related content. U.S. players will see the update on April 3, followed by the Blossomdance event on April 22. The challenging Arch-tempered Rey Dau arrives on April 29, with other features and a Capcom collaboration set to debut by the end of May.

Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2

The showcase concluded with a sneak peek at Title Update 2, slated for this summer. While no specific date was announced, a teaser hinted at the return of the beloved Lagiacrus, the underwater leviathan, ready to wreak havoc on the surface.
