Monster Hunter Wilds Update 1 Release Date Announced, Update 2 Coming Summer 2025
Capcom has exciting news for fans of Monster Hunter Wilds: Title Update 1 is set to launch on Thursday, April 3 Pacific Time, and April 4 UK time. In a recent showcase video, Capcom not only confirmed the release date but also detailed what players can look forward to in this first major post-launch update.
The highlight of Title Update 1 is the introduction of the Grand Hub, a new social space where players can engage in fresh interactions. Here, you'll have the chance to enjoy a new mini-game called Barrel Bowling and experience the enchanting performances of the Diva at night.
Alongside the Grand Hub, Title Update 1 brings the formidable Mizutsune, a leviathan monster known for its dangerous bubbles, into the fray. Players can also embark on a Zoh Shia quest. Additionally, the challenging Arch-tempered Rey Dau will be introduced later through an event quest.
Competitive players will be thrilled with the introduction of Arena Quests, where you can vie for the fastest completion times. Title Update 1 also includes free content for all players, such as classic gestures from the series. Alongside this update, Cosmetic DLC Pack 1 will be available, allowing you to customize your hunter's appearance.
Looking ahead, Capcom has teased a collaboration with an unannounced Capcom game set to arrive in Monster Hunter Wilds at the end of May. A second title update is scheduled for the summer, with an early glimpse at a new monster to keep fans eagerly anticipating what's next.
While PC gamers were hoping for news on performance improvements, as the PC version faced some challenges at launch, the showcase did not address these concerns.
Monster Hunter Wilds has already made a significant impact with its launch, and with Title Update 1, Capcom is setting the stage for future content. For a comprehensive overview, check out IGN's detailed coverage of everything announced during the Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 showcase.
