"We Are Muesli Launches New Mobile Narrative Game: In Their Shoes"
Indie studio We Are Muesli has recently announced an exciting new narrative game titled "In Their Shoes," set to launch in 2026 on both mobile and PC platforms. The game has already garnered attention, earning a nomination for the prestigious independent and arthouse games awards ‘A MAZE. 2025’ in Berlin.
In Their Shoes: A Narrative Game Focused on Listening
Set against the backdrop of present-day Milan, a city known for its contradictions, "In Their Shoes" allows players to immerse themselves in the lives of seven distinct characters. The game offers 49 short interactive stories, each termed a "Moment," providing a unique glimpse into the daily lives of its characters.
Each Moment in the game captures the essence of the characters' hesitations, routines, and the split-second decisions they face. Some Moments unfold slowly, allowing players to delve deeply into the characters' thoughts, while others demand quick reactions, reflecting the pace of real-life scenarios.
Unlike traditional narrative games, "In Their Shoes" presents a narrative that's intentionally untidy. As players navigate through the fragmented stories, they can uncover 26 hidden biographical details about each character, offering a true slice-of-life experience.
While the Play Store page for the game is not yet available, interested players can visit the Steam page for more information. Additionally, you can get a sneak peek of the game through the announcement trailer below:
