Myst-Like Lovecraftian Point-And-Click Puzzle My Father Lied Is Coming to Android This Year
In today's crowded gaming landscape, finding a truly unique title can be a challenge. My Father Lied, however, stands out with its compelling narrative and intriguing blend of mystery and Lovecraftian horror. This puzzle adventure game offers a captivating story that sets it apart from the competition.
My Father Lied: An Indie Developer's Vision
The game's creation story is as fascinating as the game itself. Developer Ahmed Alameen, initially a writer and filmmaker, initially conceived the game in collaboration with a college friend. While that initial team dissolved, Alameen couldn't abandon the story. He independently mastered 3D modeling and Unreal Engine, single-handedly bringing his vision to life. Even the game's title was a collaborative effort with his wife.
Unraveling the Mystery: The Game's Narrative
My Father Lied plunges players into a captivating mystery steeped in ancient Mesopotamian myths. Players step into the shoes of Huda, a young woman grappling with a twenty-year-old question: what happened to her father? The answer, as the story unfolds, proves far more complex than she could have imagined.
Blending 7,000 years of Mesopotamian culture with modern storytelling, the game presents a unique narrative experience. The puzzles are straightforward point-and-click, avoiding overly complex controls, and are complemented by stunning 2D visuals and 360-degree imagery.
