Naruto X Boruto: Ninja Voltage Announces End of Service
Bandai Namco's fortress strategy RPG, Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage, is officially shutting down on December 9th, 2024, marking the end of a nearly seven-year run. This isn't entirely unexpected, mirroring the fate of other Naruto gacha games like Naruto Blazing, which also succumbed to issues like imbalanced PvP.
Final Events and Shutdown Date:
The game's final chapter includes several upcoming events:
- Village Leader World Championship (October 8th - 18th)
- All-Out Mission (October 18th - November 1st)
- "Thanks For Everything" campaign (November 1st - December 1st)
Players can continue collecting Ninja Cards, participating in summoning events, and utilizing in-game items until the December 9th shutdown. It's advisable to spend any remaining Gold Coins before the servers close.
Reasons for Closure:
While initially successful with its balanced village-building and defense mechanics, the game's decline stemmed from several factors:
- Power Creep: The introduction of Minato Namikaze and subsequent characters significantly disrupted the game's balance, favoring newer, more powerful units.
- Increased Pay-to-Win Elements: The game shifted towards a more pronounced pay-to-win model, reducing free-to-play rewards and diminishing the effectiveness of free units.
- Deteriorating Multiplayer: Multiplayer features gradually diminished, impacting player engagement and community interaction.
The game remains available on the Google Play Store for those interested in experiencing it before its closure. For more gaming news, check out our coverage of Wings Of Heroes' latest update.
