After a series of leaks, Nintendo has officially unveiled the Nintendo Switch 2, but fans will have to wait until a Nintendo Direct on April 2, 2025, for a comprehensive breakdown of its launch. A brief trailer showcased the new hardware and introduced a brand-new Mario Kart game, setting the stage for the much-anticipated Nintendo Direct.

"Nintendo Direct: Nintendo Switch 2 will air on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, offering a closer look at Nintendo Switch 2, the successor to Nintendo Switch releasing in 2025," Nintendo stated on its website. In North America, fans can attend events in New York from April 4 to 6, Los Angeles from April 11 to 13, Dallas from April 25 to 27, and Toronto from April 25 to 27. In Europe, events will be held in Paris from April 4 to 6, London from April 11 to 13, Milan from April 25 to 27, Berlin from April 25 to 27, Madrid from May 9 to May 11, and Amsterdam from May 9 to 11. Additionally, Nintendo will visit Melbourne from May 10 to 11, Tokyo from April 26 to 27, Seoul from May 31 to June 1, and Hong Kong and Taipei at later dates.
