Death Stranding 2: On The Beach Launches in 2025 - Norman Reedus Shares Insights

Exciting news awaits Death Stranding fans - the highly anticipated sequel, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, is slated for release next June. Franchise star Norman Reedus recently shared intriguing details about the upcoming game and addressed the potential film adaptation in an exclusive IGN interview.

Reedus Open to Reprising Iconic Role in Film Adaptation

"If the opportunity arises, absolutely," Reedus responded when questioned about playing Sam Porter Bridges in the upcoming film adaptation. Following last month's announcement of the collaboration between Michael Sarnoski and A24, he added: "The project is in very early stages right now - we're talking pre-pre-production. But yes, I'd definitely be interested."

Embracing Kojima's Creative Vision

The actor reflected on his initial experience with the first game's complex narrative: "Nobody really understands what's going through Hideo's brilliant mind - he operates on another level. But for this sequel, I actually grasped the storyline better. There's more action sequences and clearer objectives this time around."

Despite the franchise's signature surreal elements, Reedus remains fully committed to Kojima's vision. "Working on these projects is always an extraordinary experience - equal parts rewarding and completely unpredictable," he shared enthusiastically.

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach will launch globally on June 26, 2025. The original game's Director's Cut is currently available on multiple platforms for newcomers wanting to experience the first chapter of Sam's journey.
