How to Get Paradisan Ladder in Avowed
There are five primary ways to acquire Paradisan Ladder: purchasing from Merilyn, foraging, completing side quests, breaking down items, and downgrading Hylea's Talon.
Merylin the Merchant
Merilyn, located in South Paradise (see map above), offers the fastest guaranteed method. She typically stocks five Paradisan Ladders at 150 coins each. She also sells the Many-Hued Doublet and the Common Grimoire of Elements, both of which yield additional Paradisan Ladder when broken down (two units each). Note that her inventory doesn't seem to replenish.
Exploring for Paradisan Ladder
Paradisan Ladder plants can be found throughout the game world, both in the wilderness and occasionally in cities like Paradise. The plant icon on your mini-map (red circle in image above) indicates their presence. While other plants may resemble Paradisan Ladder, actively searching your immediate surroundings during gameplay will steadily increase your supply.
Side Quests
Many side quests reward crafting materials, including Paradisan Ladder. The early quest "Escape Plan," for instance, provides two units. Completing side quests offers a consistent, albeit slower, method of acquisition alongside other rewards and experience points.
Breaking Down Items
Items upgraded with Paradisan Ladder can be deconstructed at a workbench to recover some of the herb. Check the "Break Down" section of item descriptions from merchants for potential sources.
Downgrading Hylea's Talon
Once you reach Emerald Stair and obtain Hylea's Talon, you can downgrade each one into three Paradisan Ladders at your party camp workbench. This is particularly useful for quickly upgrading a new weapon type.
By utilizing these methods, you can effectively manage your supply of Paradisan Ladder and ensure smooth progression in Avowed.
