Path of Exile 2 Bug Fix: Requirements Not Met Resolved
Path of Exile 2: Fixing the "Requirements Not Met" Skill Point Bug
Early Access games, like Path of Exile 2, are prone to bugs. One such bug prevents players from using skill points, displaying a frustrating "Requirements Not Met" message despite seemingly meeting all prerequisites. This guide offers solutions.
What Causes the "Requirements Not Met" Bug?
Some players encounter the "Requirements Not Met" error when allocating skill points to unlock passive abilities, even when adjacent nodes are unlocked. While the root cause is debated (bug or hidden mechanic), resolving the message is key to progression.
Solutions to the Skill Point Glitch
Several fixes have been reported. Let's explore them:
1. Verify Skill Point Types

Later in the game, multiple skill point types exist (Skill Points, Weapon Set I, Weapon Set II, and eventually Ascendancy Points). The error might appear if you're attempting to use the wrong type of point for a specific node. Check the top-right of your screen for your point breakdown to ensure you have the correct type.
2. Refund and Respec Your Points

A mismatch in Weapon Set passive points might be the culprit. The solution? A complete respec. Visit "The Hooded One" in Clearfell Encampment (unlocked after The Mysterious Shade quest). This NPC, designed for respeccing, has become an unintended fix for this bug. Refunding your points and reallocating them often resolves the issue.
Path of Exile 2 is currently available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
