Pedro Pascal Calls JK Rowling a 'Heinous Loser' for Anti-Trans Rhetoric

Pedro Pascal, renowned for his roles in acclaimed series like The Last of Us, The Mandalorian, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps, has publicly criticized Harry Potter author JK Rowling for her recent comments against the transgender community. This response came after Rowling celebrated a UK Supreme Court decision that legally defines "woman" as "a biological woman and biological sex," thereby excluding transgender women from protections under the Equality Act.

Rowling's celebratory post on Twitter/X, featuring her smoking a cigar and drinking by the ocean with the caption "I love it when a plan comes together," was a nod to her financial support of For Scotland Women, the organization behind the lawsuit. This prompted a strong reaction from writer and activist Tariq Raouf, who condemned Rowling's actions in a video posted on April 17, describing them as "serious Voldemort villain sh*t" and calling for a boycott of all things Harry Potter.

In the comments section of Raouf's video, Pascal echoed the sentiment, labeling Rowling's behavior as "Awful disgusting SHT" and "Heinous LOSER behavior." This is not the first instance of Pascal advocating for transgender rights. He has previously shared his views on social media, stating, "I can’t think of anything more vile and small and pathetic than terrorizing the smallest, most vulnerable community of people who want nothing from you, except the right to exist," accompanied by an image of a sign affirming the existence of trans people. Additionally, Pascal showed his support by wearing a "Protect the dolls" shirt at the premiere of Thunderbolts* in London, a phrase used within the LGBTQIA+ community to refer to trans women.

Pascal's advocacy is deeply personal; his sister, Lux Pascal, came out as a trans woman in 2021. He publicly supported her by posting, "Mi hermana, mi corazón, nuestra Lux," translating to "My sister, my heart, our Lux."
