Persona 5: The Phantom X Releasing Globally
First Announcement From Western Account
The highly anticipated Persona 5: The Phantom X (P5X) is set to broaden its horizons with the launch of a dedicated social media account for its English version. The release date could be unveiled during the livestream scheduled for May 15. On that day, P5X Official West announced their first major reveal at 7:00 AM PT on Atlus’ official western YouTube channel.
Refer to the schedule below to find out when the stream begins in your time zone:
The livestream will feature special guests from the game’s cast, including Kaede Hondo, the voice of Motoha Arai, and Chika Anzai, the voice of Yui. They will be joined by P5X Chief Producer Yohsuke Uda, Development Director Yusuke Nitta from ATLUS, Development Producer Jun Matsunaga, and Live Ops Director Yuta Sakai from SEGA.
P5X was initially released in select regions in April 2024. Speculation is rife that the developers will announce its Western release during this upcoming stream, especially since they hinted at plans for English localization during the game’s first anniversary livestream. The official account tantalizingly teased that the release date for Japan will be announced, with a question hanging in the air: "but what about the West? Be sure to tune in and find out!"
Japanese Release Coming Soon
The livestream will also shed more light on P5X’s Japanese (JP) release, as previously announced during the game’s first anniversary celebration. Atlus has confirmed that it will launch in Japan in Summer 2025, and pre-registrations are currently open on the P5X JP website.
Furthermore, Sega Sammy Holdings, a Japanese global holding company and conglomerate, mentioned in their Fiscal Year 2025 Results Presentation on May 12 that the game is part of their roll-out schedule, targeting a launch "In or after FY2026/3" (April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026) with a planned summer release.
With the Japanese release on the horizon, a global launch of P5X seems imminent. To keep up with the latest news on Persona 5: The Phantom X, check out our article below!
