Phoenix 2 Overhauls Gameplay with Campaign, Controller Support
The popular Android shoot'em up, Phoenix 2, just received a massive update brimming with new content and features. If you enjoy its fast-paced action and strategic gameplay, read on for the full details.
What's New?
The update's centerpiece is a brand-new campaign mode. Gone are the solely daily missions; now players can immerse themselves in a full-fledged campaign featuring 30 meticulously crafted missions. This story-driven experience incorporates characters from the Phoenix 2 universe, offering a fresh, engaging challenge for veterans and newcomers alike. A visually stunning new Starmap enhances exploration as you conquer diverse locations and repel invaders.
Further enhancing the experience are customizable player tags. VIP players can now personalize their leaderboard entries, selecting from various designs and tweaking colors and information to create a unique, memorable tag. These custom tags remain on the leaderboard permanently.
Controller support has also been added, making the game fully compatible with modern gamepads for players who prefer that control method.
Interface Improvements
Speedrunners and competitive players will appreciate the new wave progress indicator and timer, providing real-time feedback during high-stakes runs.
Other Enhancements
Beyond these major additions, the update includes various smaller tweaks and bug fixes, including updated character portraits. Download Phoenix 2 from the Google Play Store today, select your ship, and dive into the action!
