Pirates Outlaws 2: Hit Roguelike Deckbuilder Returns
Fabled Game Studio is preparing the launch of Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage, a highly anticipated sequel to their 2019 hit, Pirates Outlaws. This roguelike deck-building game retains the beloved gameplay of its predecessor while introducing significant enhancements. The full release is slated for 2025 across Android, iOS, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
An open beta test on Steam will run from October 25th to 31st, offering players a sneak peek. Mobile players will need to wait a bit longer for their chance to plunder the seas. Before embarking on this new adventure, let's explore the key improvements.
What's New in Pirates Outlaws 2?
Pirates Outlaws 2 introduces a new protagonist with a backstory set years after the original game. Players begin with pre-built decks and unique ability cards. The addition of companions, each wielding their own special cards, adds a new strategic layer. A new fusion mechanic allows players to combine three identical cards into a more powerful variant.
An evolution tree provides a customizable deck upgrade system, transforming previously discarded cards into valuable assets. Relic acquisition has been revamped; instead of appearing after every battle, they're now found in markets, after boss fights, or during special events.
Battles feature a new countdown system that influences enemy actions. The "End Turn" button is replaced with a "Redraw" mechanic. A new armor and shield system further enhances strategic depth.

Anticipation for Pirates Outlaws 2
Despite the substantial additions, the core gameplay of Pirates Outlaws remains intact. Players will still engage in deck-building, navigate the seas, and conquer the Arena and Campaign modes. Familiar elements such as ammo management, melee-ranged-skill card combinations, curses, and diverse enemy races return. Visit the official website for further details.
