Niantic has unveiled the exciting details for Pokémon GO Fest 2025, along with two additional January events. Let's dive into the specifics.
Pokémon GO Fest 2025: A Global Celebration
The Pokémon GO Fest 2025 will be a three-day extravaganza taking place across three global cities in May and June 2025:
- Osaka, Japan: May 29 - June 1
- Jersey City, New Jersey, USA: June 6 - June 8
- Paris, France: June 13 - June 15
Further details regarding specific in-game events and activities will be revealed in March 2025. Remember, event details are subject to change, but we'll keep you updated.
This annual event offers exclusive in-game items, gameplay enhancements, and bonuses. In-person attendees will experience unique city-specific features, merchandise, and community gatherings. Expect rare Pokémon encounters, increased Shiny Pokémon rates, and dedicated team lounges. The event will largely mirror the format of previous years.
January Events: Fashion Week and Shadow Raid Day
Beyond the Pokémon GO Fest announcement, Niantic revealed two exciting January events:
Fashion Week: Taken Over (January 15-19, 2025, 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm local time):
This event features the debut of Shroodle and Grafaiai, obtainable from 12 km Eggs. Trainers can rescue Shadow Palkia from Team GO Rocket and Giovanni. Other Shadow Pokémon, including Snivy and Tepig, will also appear. Keep an eye out for a fashionable Croagunk in snapshots!
Shadow Raid Day (January 19, 2025, 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm local time):
Take on Five-Star Shadow Raids to capture Shadow Ho-Oh! A $5 USD ticket grants eight extra Raid Passes, increased Rare Candy XL chances, 2x Stardust, and 50% more XP from Raids. Shiny Ho-Oh encounters are boosted, and lucky trainers can teach their Ho-Oh the signature move, Sacred Fire, using a Charged TM.
