Pokémon TCG Pocket Update: Trading Feature Delayed Until Autumn
While the launch of Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket was met with excitement, the trading feature quickly became a point of contention due to its cumbersome mechanics and restrictive nature. However, a recent update promises significant improvements to address these issues.
The most notable change is the complete removal of Trading Tokens. Instead of using these tokens, players will now use Shinedust to trade cards of three-diamond, four-diamond, and one-star rarity. Shinedust is earned by opening booster packs and receiving cards that are already registered in your Card Dex. This shift aims to streamline the trading process and make it more accessible.
For those who have accumulated Trading Tokens, there's good news: these can be converted into Shinedust. Given that Shinedust is also used to acquire flair, further updates are planned to refine its role within the game. Additionally, an upcoming feature will allow players to share cards they are interested in trading through an in-game function, enhancing the trading experience.
Trading Spaces
As previously noted, the initial implementation of trading in Pokémon TCG Pocket felt half-hearted. The digital nature of the game necessitates more restrictions than physical trading to prevent abuse, which has led to some frustrations. These changes, while promising, won't be implemented until autumn at the earliest, leaving players waiting through the spring and summer months.
While the team behind Pokémon TCG Pocket is addressing these concerns, the pace of these updates has been slower than many fans would like.
