Should You Help Prochek or Olbram in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2? (Mice & Frogs Quest Guide)
Early in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, you'll encounter side quests in Tachov and Zhelejov, requiring you to choose between helping Prochek or Olbram. This guide clarifies whether you can assist both and which choice is more advantageous.
Can You Help Both Prochek and Olbram in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*?
Tachov and Zhelejov are locked in a bitter feud in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Fortunately, you can complete most quests for both Prochek and Olbram with careful planning. This allows for a more comprehensive understanding of both settlements' backstories. While a completely positive outcome for both is impossible, this approach maximizes your experience.
Should You Choose Prochek or Olbram in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*?
If forced to choose, there's little practical difference. Both aim to sabotage the other, making the decision purely based on personal preference.
Olbram tasks you with stealing the Zhelejov maypole, requiring nighttime stealth and distracting a guard. Prochek's task involves painting Olbram's bull blue, demanding a recipe from Radovan and dye from the tailor.
Prochek's quest might be slightly harder early on, potentially requiring more groschen or Speech skill for dialogue checks. Choosing Olbram might be easier for less experienced players. The following sections detail both questlines.
How to Start "Mice" for Prochek in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*
Speak to Prochek in Tachov to begin the "Mice" quest. If you can't locate him, the innkeeper can direct you.
Obtaining the Dye and Lullaby Potion

Purchase dye from Bartoshek the tailor in Troskowitz. For the lullaby potion, either work for Radovan as a blacksmith apprentice in Tachov or persuade him to give you the recipe. The recipe requires oil, poppy, and thistle, obtainable from the garden outside Troskowitz's apothecary.
Brew the potion, then head to Zhelejov, pour it into the bull's trough, and paint the bull once it's asleep. Report back to Prochek upon completion. You can then approach Olbram to start the "Frogs" quest.
How to Start "Frogs" for Olbram in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*
Find Olbram near the meadow in Zhelejov and agree to retrieve the maypole to initiate the "Frogs" quest.
Stealing the Maypole
Proceed to Tachov at night and approach the maypole cautiously. Henrik guards it; you can knock him out or use Speech to persuade him to leave.
Convince Henrik to meet Manka, creating a distraction. Inform Manka at the inn, then return to Henrik. Once he leaves, climb and chop down the maypole. Return to Olbram to complete this stage. He'll then request you chase sheep from Tachov's pasture and deliver a digestive potion to Alshik.
At this point, you can complete the quest or inform Prochek of Olbram's plan, concluding both quests.
This guide covers Prochek, Olbram, and their respective quests in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*. Check The Escapist for more game tips and information, including advice on killing Jakesh and optimal perk choices.
