Trailer Features Gameplay and Boss Battle
The gameplay trailer provides a thrilling glimpse into Ratatan’s world, featuring a battle against a colossal boss crab. A key feature introduced is the online co-op mode, allowing up to 4 players to team up and take on challenges together. Additionally, the game supports massive melee battles with up to 100 characters, promising epic encounters.
Developed by the mastermind behind Patapon, Hiroyuki Kotani, and accompanied by the original Patapon composer Kemmei Adachi, Ratatan is poised to capture the hearts of fans old and new. Its successful Kickstarter campaign, which started in 2023, has already achieved its console launch stretch goal, ensuring a release on various platforms.

Despite not participating in the upcoming Steam Next Fest, the team is fully committed to refining the closed beta experience. The initial build of the beta will include gameplay up to Stage 1, with Stages 2 and 3 being added progressively throughout the month-long testing period. Sakajiri emphasized that details regarding code distribution, start times, and more will be communicated via Discord and X once finalized.
